Cannot recommend these guys enough. Firstly got my rear bumper resprayed back in Sept 2020 and had no issues at all and was/is the perfect colour match.
Recently i went to someone else to get a new bumper resprayed and fitted (i got a recommendation) and i wish i hadn’t, due to not fitting the front bumper properly, this had warped my bumper so it wasn’t sitting right and was coming off on one corner, these guys worked their magic managed to bring that warped bumper back to how it should look! I found Protek through social media and various car forums and everyone who recommended them couldn’t speak more highly of their experience with the company.

After consulting with Kevin, I booked my Clio in with them for a bit of rust treatment and bodywork.
From the initial consultation to the day I picked the car up, the team were fantastic. I was kept informed, updated and if extra work was needed, it would be discussed before giving the go ahead.

I was genuinely blown away with the finished result. All dents, dings and chips had been sorted and the rot was cut and replaced with new metal. The paint match is spot on and the finish is second to none. You wouldn’t know the car has had paint!

I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Protek. Kevin is fantastic and answered my many emails and queries. I Was recommended to Protek by a friend of mine after buying my new car and noticing some chipped paintwork on the boot, this was caused by a misaligned tailgate from the factory. Kevin could not of been more helpful, offering sound & expert advice on what the fault was and how to fix it, needless to say the car was then booked in and dropped off to the team for repair. After contacting a number of bodyshops across central Scotland and reading a number of reviews I chose Protek to fix a small stone chip on the driver side rear panel of my Jaguar F-Type. I am so glad I did. From the moment I spoke to Kevin I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. He explained the process involved and set high expectations in terms of the end result. I wasn't' disappointed at all. The paint job is immaculate and looks as good as, if not better than, the factory finish. To top if off the car was returned valeted and looking perfect. Chevrolet Spark as good as new I took my Chevrolet Spark to Protek last week to get the bonnet resprayed as it had a lot of chips and a couple of other bits needed painted. Brilliant as always! I sadly had a small accident in my car for the 2nd time this year! Kevin asked if I could leave some feedback and after the service received for the 2nd time, I had no hesitation! They recognised me when I popped in to have my car looked at and estimated, so friendly and we made light of the fact it was the 2nd time, we think the car is jinxed! We got the car back quicker than expected and again it looked like new! Three alloys on my Porsche Cayman were badly corroded around the valve. The fourth was slightly corroded. They stripped, repaired and coated the three and cleaned up the fourth. All the work was top notch quality and they even washed the car too. Highly recommended! Kevin.

I was recommended to these guys by Richard at RGK detailing, so my thanks to Richard for doing so and putting a customers best interests first. I’m unhealthily particular about my car, so the thought of taking it to a paint shop for repair scares the life out of me, in this day and age of volume processing of insurance work through paint shops. Anyhow, the lads at Protek clearly understand that there’s a market out there for quality over quantity and appear to have built a solid reputation on this. Richard at RGK was one of two detailers who recommended Protek and when you start to do your homework, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone out there who doesn’t thoroughly recommend them. Well I’m about to do the same, only because I value the fact that it’s a rare thing these days to have your expectations exceeded.
When I took my car in for a quote I was immediately welcomed by the owner (who’s name unfortunately escapes me) who looked over the areas I wanted repaired. Now to be clear, 90% of people wouldn’t even know or see what was wrong with my car - a previous typical paint repair (not under my ownership) which was a slight off shade, a rippled clear coat and a few other paint prep related defects.
Now you can tell in a conversation whether someone is on the same page as you with respect to a standard of work, and very quickly I was convinced that these guys are used to working with pernickity folk like me and from what I could tell, appear to welcome the challenge. This is clearly backed up by the odd Lamborghini, Porsche or Lotus dotted around the place, as well as your typical day to day shopping carts and daily drivers.
Long story short, my car was booked in and repaired 4 weeks later. I dealt with Kevin through the process who was professional at every stage.
So the car itself, well the paint finish is flawless and the paint match perfect - a hard thing to do well on a red car. I was shown pictures of the prep work that was performed, clearly showing that no shortcuts were taken, all leading to a repair that is equally as good as the manufacturers (Porsche), i.e. it’s a perfect match and undetectable even under close scrutiny.
My sincere thanks to Protek for putting my baby right. To anyone reading this as I did when looking for a reputable repairer, you will not be disappointed in the standard of work leaving this garage and will probably have a laugh when you meet the owner and his team. They remind me of Kindig Customs, a Kindig Customs of the UK if you will, for all you sad folk like me that like to watch that show on the telly.

I recently had the misfortune of damaging my car. After consultation with my insurance company I was asked to take my car to Protek. Having lived close to its location for many years, I had heard a lot of good reports about the way they go about their business, and I was not disappointed. From start to finish they were helpful with advice on what was going to be done to bring my car back to factory finish. Ahead of the completion date they contacted me to advise that my car was ready for uplift. Kevin asked me to give the car a full inspection before I even got to the office to ensure that I was happy with the repairs done. From this experience I can only say that they took the heartache from my driving mistake.

I recently had my 2012 Ford Focus repaired at Protek. I felt I had to write a small review as it is very difficult to find a trustworthy bodyshop these days. First off, I simply could not recommend Protek more, I’ve had bad experiences at insurance approved bodyshops in the past and was overwhelmed with the service I received at Protek. From the assessors to the office staff, they all made a massive effort to make the process easy and less stressful for me. I had taken my Son with me to pick the car up and check it over for me, again he couldn’t have been more impressed with the work and service given. The car was cleaned inside and out and you would never know the car had been damaged, as a customer I am very fussy! I feel it’s sadly a rare occasion these days to get 1st class customer service along with 1st class workmanship, so when it does happen I want everyone else to know. My car door had been slightly dented by someone carelessly opening their door. Protek looked at the damage, gave me an estimate and a date to repair. On the day I took my car in I was recovering from the flu, the staff could not have been nicer. They gave me an exact time to come in, repair took less than 1hr and at the price quoted. To start I would like to add that I was directed to Protek by my insurance company and being quite a distance from them I was apprehensive about the car going so far to be repaired and as it was my new car I was concerned it was going to a garage I knew nothing about, I’ve had bad experiences with previous cars and garages! I must say my apprehension was unfounded, from start to finish Protek couldn’t have done more, my Audi was picked up from my house within a few hours of my accident and a courtesy car left for me. The lady in the office, (Shivon I think) put my fears about my warranty at ease and explained the process of repair etc. and kept me up to date throughout the repair, something Audi themselves could learn something from! The car was delivered about 5 days later on a trailer and looked as good as new, Tom the delivery driver (and owner I believe) was great and talked me through what was done to the car and a bit about the company, it was something I really appreciated. I was assured that all genuine parts were used and was given a copy of the estimate and costs as I requested. Tom asked if I didn’t mind, could I leave a small review on yell with my thoughts, good or bad, and after how I found Protek I was more than happy to! I’m the opposite of close to Bathgate but I wouldn’t hesitate in travelling the distance myself to use them should the need occur (no offence to Protek but I hope I never do!) Truly wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Protek to people looking for a good bodyshop, being a smaller family run business I think it actually gives them an edge over the big garages I’ve used in the past
